Throne of Darius Review “A Rollicking Adventure”

Though not quite spear and fang (well, maybe spear and sandal), I just finished the first book in a new series by my good friend Mark McLaughlin. A bit hefty looking at 660 odd pages, but let me tell you they are some of the fastest moving pages I have read in a long time. If you like big ancient epics with swords, shields, Greeks, and Persians, all wrapped up in a rollicking adventure set against the rise of Alexander, this is a good read. Having known Mark for years, I know that he brings an amazing knowledge of history into this book and his dialogue is snappy and his action fast and furious. Highly recommended.
