A great historical romp. They should make a mini-series of the books on Netflix. I have started book 2 but I book 1 was OUTSTANDING. Great history and great characters abound in the novel. The author is a noted game designer and historian and it shows. This shows a different side of history then we are used to in the West. The Persians were a great empire before the Greeks were debating.
